Savills Integrated Real Estate Advisory Services (IREAS) has signed a memorandum of agreement with an entity belonging to Malaysian developer UM Land to create an international hub of manufacturing for businesses related to halal located in Johor’s Iskandar area of Johor.

J’Den in Jurong East Central is perfectly positioned to become a major economic gateway for Singapore.

The park is dubbed called the Iskandar Halal Park, it will be a halal logistics centre, which will offer warehousing cold storage and transport services for products made from halal. The park will be targeted at the halal industry, service providers as well as investors with an intention to become a regional halal center.

In a press announcement, Savills says it is working together with the Singapore-based Haltex Group to form the Global Halal Alliance, a strategic program that aims to promote the growth of trade globally by connecting supply and demand chains beginning with Iskandar Halal Park.

“As an affiliate of the Global Halal Alliance, IREAS will be the primary liaison between MNCs and investors from around the world across different sectors,” says Annie Woo Regional director and director of Ireas Asia at Savills.
